However, in Affinity 2 and after I've made the Option click, the circle carries a ghost image of area I've just selected and In the image below, I've made the Option click on the grassed hillside to the right of the lifebelt and moved the brush onto the sky to better reveal the Overlay 1 on my Mac and following the initial Option click to select the area I wanted to use in the Clone process - the brush changed to a transparent circle (the actual size of the bush) and remained clear / empty as I moved it to the area I wanted to paint over. When using the Clone tool in Affinity ver. 1 to Affinity Photo 2 and hit a small snag with the Clone tool. I've just upgraded from Affinity Photo ver.
